IT'S FRIDAY // 19

Every Friday I'll be sharing a wee collection of links with you. From DIY to my favourite music tracks, there will be something for everyone.

THIS FURNITURE
Uh, hello pretty furniture! I first saw this on Let's Die Friends and had to have a little look for myself. Man, don't they have the neatest and most unique home and decor items. I'll have one of everything please. Okay, make that two!

THIS POST
I really love this from Wonderforest. I think fashion really is just another way to express yourself, and there's no way that we should be worrying what other people think. Hello! It's a reflection of your personality, and you should let it shine. I actually felt quite liberated when I cut my hair. Never did I think I'd do it, but I guess I was just a stage where I didn't really care anymore. Hair grows back! Be fearless. Do what you want.

THIS BRANDING
Even if you aren't a designer, like myself, I'm sure you can appreciate a great piece of design. This one is perfect. I love the colours and pattern, and how clean and fresh it is.

THIS ROOM
Isn't this little bed nook the sweetest? I really wish I owned a house when I see these kind of posts. I'm really into hanging plants at the moment and it's pretty hard to recreate when you can't drill into your walls or ceiling.

THIS RECIPE
Oh my goodness, yum! As I've mentioned before, I have a "sort of" issue with gluten so this recipe is perfect. I'm a huge fan of fruit, especially the hot kind, and have been missing out on crumbles all winter. Not anymore! A super easy recipe and a fairly small ingredient list. My kind of dessert.

THIS SONG
I'm sure you would have heard this one by now, but I bet you'll listen to it again anyway. Lorde is just so talented, and this song caught me from the very first note. I'm not a very big lyric person, I generally like a song because of the beat and melody, rather than the lyrics. I love these though and they are perfect for Hunger Games. Perfect.

--

Not only is today Friday, but we've got a long weekend this weekend! YAY! Pretty much the ultimate weekend. Tonight I'm having out with some lovely ladies, and then spending some quality time with my Mum and Grandma on Sunday. We are going to the french markets so I'll definitely have something to share with you next week. Other than that, I think it will be a pretty easy weekend for me.

Hope you guys have a good one!

IT'S FRIDAY // 18

Every Friday I'll be sharing a wee collection of links with you. From DIY to my favourite music tracks, there will be something for everyone.

THIS COSTUME IDEA
I wanted to save up all my Halloween posts and just do a "Halloween Themed It's Friday" but there are way too many cool links out there. This is such a cute family costume idea, and not too hard to make either! Katie did hand make a lot of the elements, but you could totally do a less intense "no sew" version.

THIS CHICK
Georgina may be the most stylish person I know. Seriously, this girl knows fashion. I'm a bit all over the place with my taste, which seems to be how I am with most aspects of life. She has the coolest outfits though, and awesome features where she mix and matches items in her wardrobe. Totally creative, and she always looks amazing. Make sure you check out her blog.

THIS POST
I love this post. Love it. Sometimes I don't feel like blogging, like sharing my life with a whole bunch of strangers, but this is a little reminder why I do it. No way am I on the scale that she is, I definitely don't get paid to do any of this.. But I wanted to blog for a reason, and this totally reminded me why.

THIS DIY
I was going to say "this is one for the kids" but then I realised that I would love a crown like this. Whether it was part of a costume, or an alternative "party hat," they are totally lovely! So easy and cheap to make, plus they look mighty cute.

THIS BIKINI
I LOVE this bikini set. Since I lost weight, I am feeling a bit more confident about my body, to the point where I'm quite happy to show it off. I know that my size shouldn't dictate my self image, but I'm so much more proud of my body compared to when I was bigger. Asos have the best swimsuits though, their patterns are wicked and they have some pretty interesting cuts. Summer is coming and I'm feeling pretty adventurous!

THIS SONG
Isn't this song beautiful? And I love the video clip as well. No matter what Ed Sheeran does, I'm always a fan and this song is no different. Give it a listen, and then listen again. So lovely.

THIS VIDEO
Animation is awesome. Seriously, some of my favourite movies are Disney or Pixar. This clip is pretty clever, a little sad, but mostly great.

--

And it's Friday! Today I'm going to a wedding and I'm wearing a crop top! I've never worn one before, I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited to try something new. The wedding is for Rob's cousin who has been engaged to his lovely lady for about 8 years now! Haha it's about time, and I can't wait to see them tie the knot. Other than that, I have another weekend of working (yay 14 day week!) so it's going to be a tiring one.

Have you guys got anything exciting planned?

IT'S FRIDAY // 17

Every Friday I'll be sharing a wee collection of links with you. From DIY to my favourite music tracks, there will be something for everyone.

THIS DIY
How sweet are these necklaces? They look pretty easy to make as well, and the colours are perfect for Spring and Summer - which is ideal for us New Zealanders!! I've got a wedding coming up so I give these a go. I'm not really a jewellery wearer but I might give in just this once.

THIS SMOOTHIE
My lovely friend Zeni from Make Like Zen is truly amazing in the kitchen (and everywhere else) and she's shared a delicious sounding green smoothie! I've tried before, but with kale, and it wasn't too kind of my digestive system but apparently spinach is the way to go so I'll be trying this one out.

THIS DUVET
Honestly, if there was a duvet cover that totally summed up your personality, this is mine. I LOVE it. So much. A beautiful friend of mine (yes you Jackie!) sent this to me the other day and I fell in love. It's perfect! I was going to buy it, but then I talked myself out of it. Hey! I know it's perfection but it's also $80 for just a duvet cover and I can't really justify it. If you haven't already had a browse the home ware section on Urban Outfitters, do it now. You won't regret it.

THIS PARTY
Sometimes it can be hard to think of birthday party themes for kids, especially if you don't want to go down the pirate/princess/farm route. This Moon and Stars Birthday Party is pretty darn cute though. I never would have thought of this, but it's such a neat idea! I love all the decorations they've used, and those cookies! Yuuuum.

THESE DATE IDEAS
Okay, this says it's for married couples, but it can totally be applied to any couple! These are all such great (and some super cheap) ideas for date nights. Sometimes I find it hard to think of original ways to spend time together (other than eating out, movies, bowling) so these are definitely a breath of fresh air. I think we might have to work our way through them all!

THIS SONG
Umm yes. This is another Sam Smith. Am I sorry? No way! Whenever I jump on my computer to do some design (or just spend hours on the internet ha!) I always go straight onto Spotify and click on Sam Smith's album. I'm yet to get sick of it, and it's always exactly what I want to listen to. Also, Rob and I bought tickets and we will be seeing him live in April! SO EXCITED. It's also going to be our first concert together, super cute!

THIS VIDEO
Of course it's Jimmy Fallon! Who else?! This time he's paired up with Will.I.Am (or Mir.I.Am) to make a hilarious video clip for Ew. Naturally they are dressed up as girls, and have the best "girly" voices ever. Go on. Have a laugh!

--
Yaaay for Friday! Except. It's not really a yay at all. At work we are always super busy over October and November, so I get to work all this weekend and the following weekend. Yeah, that's about 14 days of non stop work. Whoo! I won't complain though, extra money is always good in my books, especially with Christmas coming.

Have you guys got anything exciting planned?

IT'S FRIDAY // 16

Every Friday I'll be sharing a wee collection of links with you. From DIY to my favourite music tracks, there will be something for everyone.

THIS POST
Have a blog but not feeling particularly inspired? I definitely have those days so this blog post is super helpful. There are 30 ideas for a bit of a "filler" post or just something to get those creative vibes flowing. And while you are there, check out all the wedding inspiration. Some of them will seriously blow your mind.

THIS RECIPES
Home made peanut butter cups are seriously all over the internet and they are actually one of the only recipes that I've made successfully. These are next level though! JELLY. Yum. And still super easy.

THIS DIY
How clever is this?! Answer - very clever. Instead of going out and sourcing a slab of marble for her photos, Geneva has used a marble paper to create a background. All you need is a piece of wood, marble paper with an adhesive backing and some scissors. Ridiculous. And smart. I think I might try this one, look how lovely her photos turn out!

THESE TIPS
Laura has come up with five ways to make your morning a little easier. I definitely need this post right now. I'm finding it harder and harder to get up in the morning and then I rush around trying to get everything done. From now on I'm going to have a relaxing start to the day, and try out these tips.

THIS ILLUSTRATOR
I've only just found this chick, and I'm holding onto her! I love this sort of style, although I could probably never pull it off. It looks so effortless and natural. There's something childlike about it. So sweet.

THIS SONG
Yes, this is another Paloma Faith song. I heard it this morning (not for the first time) and knew I should share it. There are a lot of artists that are finding the best singers to feature on their tracks and this is another one. Give it a listen, and then listen to it again.

THIS VIDEO
Aaaand I don't have a video this week. Ha! But if you guys have any funny or interesting ones you want to share, let me know in the comments!

--
I feel like I was a bit more on track this week. I've been productive and a lot more relaxed (thank you insurance for coming through.) So glad the weekend is here though. Mine will be full of washing (yes, it's one of those times where it's all piled up) and DIY projects! What have you guys got planned?

IT'S FRIDAY // 15

Every Friday I'll be sharing a wee collection of links with you. From DIY to my favourite music tracks, there will be something for everyone.

THIS SHOP
Tillie is seriously one of the best people I know and she's just opened her own Etsy store! It's full of inspirational and fun quotes all designed by her. Check it out, there's bound to be one that speaks to you!

THIS CAKE
Watercolour is my jam. Always. I seem to have two sides of me, one that is drawn to really soft watercolour type imagery, and the other loves geometric shapes with bright colours. Today, I'm feeling the softer side. How fun is this cake though? And the best part is, you can totally do it yourself! Can someone please make me a cake to decorate? Thanks.

THESE TIPS
I've really been trying with makeup. I used to wear it for dancing but never seemed to master makeup that worked for everyday wearing. These tips totally help though. I never would have thought of half of these (especially the red lipstick one! Mind. Blown.) but I will definitely be giving them a go.

THIS STORE
I've only recently stumbled across Jamie Kay's corner of the internet but wow. I love every single item in that store and if I wasn't so poor, I would honestly be buying it all. Those blankets are my favourite.

THIS DRINK
Yum! This looks like such a delicious drink, and it's just in time for Spring (also, summer is only a couple of months away). I love how easy it is, I'm not really a fan of huge ingredient lists and it would even work with a bit of vodka or something as well. Yum yum yum.

THIS SONG
Is currently my favourite one to sing while I'm driving. Paloma Faith has such a beautiful and unique voice and this song is so good. I'm not going to say that I pull it off (those high notes!) but I guess that's why she's a singer and I'm not. Anyway, give it a listen.

THIS VIDEO
These guys are talented. Like, crazy talented. They were first noticed on the acapella show The Sing Off in America and have been just getting better and better since then. This is only one of their songs, but man. Check them all out. When you realise the whole song is really just the five of them and their voices, you'll understand how amazing they are.

--

And that was the week! This week has been strange. Not really my best but oh well, there is always next week to pick myself back up again. I'm still waiting to hear about my car but it's looking good so far so that's something to feel positive about! Rob has family over from Australia so our weekend will probably be one full of catching up and family time.

What have you guys got planned?

IT'S FRIDAY // 14

Every Friday I'll be sharing a wee collection of links with you. From DIY to my favourite music tracks, there will be something for everyone.

THIS CAKE
As I've mentioned before, I've been trying to go gluten free (or at least avoid it.) I find that it makes me feel better if I don't eat it, but sometimes I just don't care enough to not eat it. This cake though, would make it all worth it. YUUUUM. And it has a whole block of chocolate in it. Hello!

THIS SITE
I've only just recently stumbled across this blog, and I love it. Geneva is just so clever and creative, and she's totally inspired me to learn how to sew. Check out all the amazing stuff she's made or tailored! Hey Rob, Christmas is soon and a sewing machine would make a pretty swish gift. Just saying.

THIS WEDDING
Seriously, how beautiful is this? From the dress to the flowers, it's so perfect. And that venue! This is like, my dream wedding venue but unfortunately, Auckland kind of lacks this sort of thing. Destination wedding anyone?

THIS DIY
Woah. How cool is this? Salt, citrus fruit and herbs is all you need for this neat idea! I never would have thought of this myself, but it totally makes sense. I'm definitely going to try it out. There's no excuse really, when it's this easy!

THIS SMOOTHIE
I told you guys that I was gonna drink a green smoothie this week, and I sure did! I was on the hunt for yummy recipes, and this site is awesome. They have so many great combinations that you're sure to find something that includes whatever you have on hand.

THIS SONG
Ugly Heart has been around for a little while, and it isn't lyrically genius, but I really love it. It's awesome to sing, dance, jump along to, and it just makes me happy. Don't laugh, but I've even tried to learn the dance on the video clip. So what! Sometimes it's good to have fun and pretend to be a kid again.

THIS VIDEO
Instead of showing you guys a video, I'm just gonna show you a YouTube channel. I've never been one to sit on YouTube for hours and find funny/strange/gross videos, but I really like this Buzzfeed channel. They are hilarious and awkward, and so darn honest! Give them a watch (and sorry if they've been around for ages and I'm the last one on this boat.)

--
Iiiiit's Friday! Thank goodness. I've had a pretty shit week (which included my car getting written off on Wednesday) so I'm pretty happy about the weekend being here. It's going to be all about me relaxing and trying to sort out a new car. Ugh. The positive thing is that I'm okay and no one was hurt. Gotta find that silver lining somewhere!

What have you guys got planned? Anything fun?

IT'S FRIDAY // 13

Every Friday I'll be sharing a wee collection of links with you. From DIY to my favourite music tracks, there will be something for everyone.

THESE TIPS
I love this advice from the lovely Jackie. Her and her fiance have been together for nearly seven years (WOAH) so she knows what she's talking about. Rob and I are coming up to three and a half years and I can definitely relate to each and every one of her "secrets."

THIS DESIGN
We've finally sorted out our bar cart (mostly anyway) so now it's time to become pros when it comes to cocktails. There are so many delicious recipes out there, but none as pretty as Cocorrina's. Her style is so inspirational!

THIS DIY
How cute is this? I'm not a huge fan of hanging portrait or family photos on walls. Candid ones I like, but I've never really liked the idea of having big smiley photos everywhere. This idea is cute though, and can make any image look a bit more interesting and fun. I actually have a photo in mind, so I might have to try this out in the weekend.

THIS RECIPE
Oh my yum. I love peanut butter. And chocolate. And pretzels. So this super sweet recipe is a winner in my books! There's only five ingredients and no baking required so for a baking rookie like myself, this is perfect.

THIS SCRUB
I'm a big believer in "me time" although I don't always put time away for myself. This, looks heavenly though. And it's good for you! There's only four (or five) ingredients and it takes no time at all to make. I've never really been into or used scrubs before, but if Tillie says it's good, I trust her.

THIS SONG
Ghost by Ella Henderson always comes on the radio on my drive home. I love it. It's awesome to sing a long to, it's catchy and her voice is just lovely.

THIS VIDEO
Of course, It's Friday wouldn't be complete without my video for the week. It's not quite "on theme" with my blog but I'm just so proud and want to share! Rob's niece competed in the Hip Hop International competition last month and I am so proud of her. Unfortunately they didn't place but they made it to the finals and smashed their set. Can you believe these girls are only 9-12 years old? Insane.

--
Alright, It's Friday is back. I had a wee holiday from it while I was trying to figure out my blog, but I think this is a good post for me. Not only do I get to share some neat stuff with you guys, but it also encourages me to explore the internet a bit and find cool things for myself.

So glad it's the weekend! I was lucky enough to win a free photography session with the wonderful Kate Tovey Photography so that's what we will be doing tomorrow morning. I've also got a ton of cleaning to do as well as some business planning to sort out so it's going to be a busy one. How about you guys? Any exciting plans?

IT'S FRIDAY! // 12

Every Friday I'll be sharing a couple of links to stuff that I think is awesome, and that you might like!

I only stumbled across this blog recently, but man it's good! Dana covers everything from neat DIYs to tips for blogging! This particular post is super helpful. Sometimes blogging templates can be pretty uninspiring, but with these handy tips, your blog can look GREAT! And they are easy to follow, which helps if you don't know too much about websites.

Fairly new to the world of photography and not completely happy with the photos you're taking? Here are some great tips for table top photos! The best part about this, is that you don't even need a fancy camera! It's all about lighting and backgrounds and this post will definitely give you a few more ideas to take photos you are proud of.

Ahh! This is so cool! There is an engagement shoot floating around Pinterest that has coloured powder and I think it's such a neat idea. It's also an awesome and fun way to bringing colour into a photo shoot.

I've seen a lot of weaving popping up all over the place, and I must say, I'm pretty keen to give it a try. I love the softness of the yarn and how colourful you can make it look! I'm thinking it would be perfect on our brick wall so maybe I'll give it a go.

This garden party is incredible. And I mean, it's seriously out of this world. I can't even imagine going to a party as amazing as this. From the flowers, to the lights.. The food, to the decorations. Sigh.

I'm really enjoying this song at the moment. It seems to always come on when I'm driving to and from work and I'm sure everyone around me appreciates how much I get into it. The video clip is actually pretty neat too.

Of course, this video. I'm sure you all know Sia's amazing video clip with the very talented Maddie who dances through the whole thing. Well, she's in this video too, but it might not be exactly what you thought. You have to watch. It's hilarious!

--

I can't believe this is my twelfth "It's Friday" post. Just goes to show how fast this year is going. We haven't got a whole lot planned for this weekend. Just a couple of family things, but I think this weekend will be a relaxing one. Hope you guys have something nice planned! Enjoy it :)

It's Friday! // 11

Every Friday I'll be sharing a couple of links to stuff that I think is awesome, and that you might like!

YUM!! Here in NZ it's not even close to sorbet weather (it's seriously freezing here) but this looks so yum, and so easy! Next time I have a sorbet craving (which is pretty much everyday) I think I'll try this one out. The best thing is that you can use ANY frozen fruit you like!

I'd never heard of Danny Brito before, but when he shared his house on A Beautiful Mess, I was instantly a fan. Check out how cool his place is. It's so colourful and fun! And full of personality.

How sweet are these? Plus, they are super easy to make. They'd be such a nice house warming present as well! We keep chucking our keys everywhere, so I might have to do this little DIY so we have a nice place to put them.

This is hilarious. And so very true. When Tillie posted it earlier today, I knew I had to share it because I'm sure a lot of you lovelies could relate to it.

How awesome is this pinata?! My birthday is in August but I'm already dreaming up what I can do for it. This is pretty nifty. It does look like quite a bit of work, but it's definitely not a hard DIY. Plus, it would totally be worth it.

To be honest, I haven't heard much of these guy's music before. I don't really go and "look" for music. I'm a big radio listener so that's really how I find new music. The Cab's song Lock Me Up has been playing a lot on my drive to and from work and although it's not lyrically genius, it's fun to sing a long to and it's pretty catchy.

And my video for the week. This is the best. THE BEST. Sure, it kind of ruins Disney, but it's also funny and very clever. His voice is also amazing! You've probably seen it before (it's not exactly a new video) but I still think it's worth a watch. Or five.

--

Well, it's been a bit of a miserable week (on the weather front at least.) Winter is definitely here and it's pretty darn cold. We've got a busy weekend ahead. Tonight we have Rob's work dinner (free dinner YES!) and then tomorrow I'm doing something exciting/scary, which I will share with you next week. Oooh the suspense! It's also my lovely Mum's birthday on Sunday so I'm sure I'll have a DIY or recipe to show you as well.

I hope you guys have a good one!

It's Friday! // 10

Every Friday I'll be sharing a couple of links to stuff that I think is awesome, and that you might like!

How sweet are these? They look like naughty treats but they are actually pretty healthy! Plus, they sound delicious. I might try this next time I'm craving something sweet.

Brit + Co. is definitely one of my new favourite blogs. They have so many great collections of ideas that come from all over the place! This one is no different. I had never really heard of airbnb's until recently but I'm hooked! So many amazing places, and this list has the best!

Tillie is honestly one of the best people I know and she's done it again with this totally honest piece of writing about comparison and self love. I know that I'm definitely someone who compares myself and my success to other people around me. Who doesn't!? We learn this from a very young age and it's a pretty hard habit to shake. Tillie's right though. It starts with you.

Oh yum! Another dairy free and gluten free (almost guilt free!) dessert. To be honest, I don't know how many recipes I'll actually try. Half of the time I just like to show them for their beautiful styling. Look at it! Even if I didn't eat it, I could gaze at it all day.

Two great articles in one week! This time, Helen from xhelensarahx, has written a really thought provoking piece on Redefining Normal. I think when you are on any weight loss journey, regardless of your method, things definitely change - especially your perspective. To be successful, your whole relationship with food has to change and this can take a bit of time. You really do have to redefine what's "normal" for you to stay on track and not slip back into bad habits.

Sam Smith is officially my new favourite artist. Oh my goodness his voice. Rob and I have listening to it on repeat. I love this song. His whole album is full of love songs. Not necessarily the lovey dovey kind, but more the heartbreak kind. A lot of albums come out with a couple of stand out songs, but the album as a whole, seems to fall flat. While his songs do sound similar, In The Lonely Hour is wonderful when it's listened to right through. It kind of reminds me of Lorde. Yes, her songs have the same kind of "sound" as well, but the album is seriously magical.

And finally, my video! Another slack week on the video front, but I think this one will have to do! It's actually pretty hilarious. I'm so glad my Mum didn't threaten to throw me a First Moon Party when I was younger.

--

Another week gone! This one's been alright. Nothing exciting to report! We've got a busy weekend coming up. Rob's niece is fundraising to go to LA to compete at the World's Hip Hop Championship and her parent's are having a social on Saturday night. It's going to be such a good night. I even did a bit of shopping last night and have a brand new dress to wear. Ahh the little things!

I hope you guys have a good one :)

It's Friday! // 09

Every Friday I'll be sharing a couple of links to stuff that I think is awesome, and that you might like!

New to the baking scene like me? Brit + Co. has sourced 25 lovely sites with great baking tips. I've never really liked baking, but after checking out a couple of these lessons, I'm feeling a bit more confident.

The wonderful girls from A Beautiful Mess have come up with a super cute photo series. I think I might steal borrow this idea and do one for me and Rob.

Oh my goodness. This Whimsical + Romantic Engagement session is so sweet. I love Laura's dress and the whole set up is just so lovely. They look so comfortable together, and of course, in love. Ahh!

Um. YUM. Yum yum yum! I'm seriously drooling over here. This combines two of the best treats ever. Donuts and Icecream. Plus they look pretty great. And by great I mean seriously delicious.

Cocorrina always has the most lovely printables/downloads. These recipe cards have totally inspired me to design my own. I might have to do some for my next From Me To You feature!

I really didn't like this song when I first heard it. Really. But I'm one of those people that don't like the "popular" songs at the beginning and then they grow on me and I LOVE them. Every time I hear this song I think of this, so maybe that's why I like it.

I haven't got a funny video for you this time.. More, just an amazing video. These sisters are so talented and way too sweet. It's so lovely when you see family come together and produce something special.

--

Man this week has been slow. I'm in a creative rut again, but luckily, I've been on form when it comes to exercise. Three runs this week (I've pretty much done my 7 miles for the week) with 3 days (including tonight) to go! I really want to catch up a bit this month so I'm going to stay on top of it.

If the weather holds, we are going for a little trip up to the Coromandel with a couple of friends. I'm so looking forward to a break and of course a bit of adventuring. Hopefully I'll have some photos to show you next week! I've missed using my camera so fingers crossed the weather plays nice.

I hope you have a good one! :)

It's Friday! // 08

Every Friday I'll be sharing a couple of links to stuff that I think is awesome, and that you might like!

These Geometric Place Card Holders are seriously rad. And super easy to make! They'd also be great photo holders as well, if you weren't too keen on having heaps of frames.

Ahh hello! I am so in love with these temporary tattoos from Tattly x Rifle Paper Co. Aren't they pretty?! I may need them all.

Need some motivation to kick start your fitness goals during Winter? Why not join in with Tillie's Ab and Squat 30 Day Challenge! Now that it's colder, I'm definitely finding it harder to keep on track but this little challenge seems like a great idea to make sure you're doing something everyday.

Date night coming up but you're a little bit stuck for cash? Here are some great ideas for when you want to do something special without spending too much.

This is my kind of DIY. Super sweet and super easy. Pillowcases (and any bed linen) can be expensive but sometimes not look as great! Why pay heaps when you can have cute ones like these?

I can't get enough of this song. I wasn't a huge fan of it when I first heard it, but now, there have been too many drives home where I could be seen belting it with all I've got. Ariana Grande's voice is stunning. Seriously stunning. I can't believe that huge voice comes out of such a little person but it's the truth. I'm also a sucker for old school sounds (I'm no musician and that's as good as I've got when it comes to describing songs) so this one ticks all the boxes.

I've been a bit slack with the old videos. I go between phases of being on youtube and not and this week was an off week. The lovely Dawn helped me out though and shared this one. It's pretty awesome.

--

This weekend, I'm dedicating all my free time to sorting out my "online identity." I do a bit of freelance graphic design here and there and I've decided that it's about time that I had a portfolio site to showcase the work I've done, not only in the "real world" but when I was studying at Natcoll (now Yoobee). I've also got a couple of blog posts lined up (trying to keep on top of everything) so there's something for you to look forward to ;) Have a good one!

It's Friday! // 07

Every Friday I'll be sharing a couple of links to stuff that I think is awesome, and that you might like!

Oh my goodness, I love this! All you need is some oven baked clay and pretty nail polish (as well as a few other things) and you have this cute little bowl! I'll definitely be trying this DIY. We've been on the hunt for something to put our keys in and this would be perfect.

You have to have a look at this beautiful engagement shoot. Kinsey has to be one of my favourite photographers and this shoot is just so dreamy.

The lovely Tillie, from Hello Tillie, wrote a very interesting and honest piece on Abstinence and Moderation. Anyone who is on any kind of fitness/health journey will know how hard it is to stay on track. Coming to terms with what YOU need as an individual can definitely help you reach your goals.

How great are these spotted curtains? They are so easy to do and add just a bit of contrast and pattern to make that room a little more interesting.

I'm yet to really explore the world of gluten and dairy free food but this recipe may have just inspired me. I love any ice cream that has mint involved but lately my tummy hasn't been too happy with any dairy products. Seems like a pretty delicious way to get my fix!

This isn't a new song but I love it. There's something about Bruno Mars. His voice is just so good and I love how all of his music has this old school feel to it.

And of course, my video of the week. This. Is. Hilarious. I love all three of them and this has to be the funniest (and sort of disgusting) snippet ever. It's an oldie but definitely a goodie.

Well, the weekend is here again. I keep feeling like my days are going pretty slowly but then suddenly Friday is here and I'm doing another one of these features so it mustn't be as bad as I think. I think we'll be having an easy one this weekend. There is a lot of cleaning to be done and I'm feeling like something creative should happen as well. We'll see though! It's a lot easier to say that I'll do something awesome but usually, when the time comes, all I want to do is snuggle up and read.

It's Friday! // 06

Every Friday I'll be sharing a couple of links to stuff that I think is awesome, and that you might like!

This is the prettiest chocolate ever. I actually already shared it on my Facebook page but I thought I'd share it again. Look at it! It's also super easy to make.

I'm probably quite late to this party, but I only recently stumbled upon this little gem thanks to Laura. Zomato is this awesome site that suggests great eating places for your location and even to suit your mood! You can join and recommend/review/photograph the places you visit as well. Will definitely be using it a lot more when it comes to trying new places.

For those of you who don't drink, here are some delicious Mocktail recipes! We've got a bar cart (I don't even know if we can call it that because we only have two bottles on it) but these mocktails have definitely inspired me to start making it stay true to it's name.

Look at these lovely photos that Diana took of  The Saguaro in Palm Springs. America seems to have the coolest places! That has to be one of the most fun and colourful spaces I have ever seen.

More cheap DIY projects to keep you busy over the long weekend! I'm loving that desk organiser, the white brick vase and that colourful welcome mat! We have a plain mat that I bought when we first moved into our place but I still haven't done anything with it. I might have just found my inspiration!

Sam Smith may just be my new favourite singer. I have fallen in love with his voice and every song that I've heard of his so far. Stay with Me is no different.

And my video for you this week is this beautiful cover. These two NZ artists  have the most beautiful voices and I love how they sound when they come together.

So looking forward to the long weekend and it's only a day away!! We haven't got much planned so far. Exciting news is that we got a treadmill yesterday!! I used it this morning and while I think it will take a bit of getting used to, no regrets. Only good can come from it and I'm definitely motivated! I'm not looking forward to updating my #365MilesOverDays progress but oh well. Honesty is the best policy! And with my new treadmill, there will be no more excuses!

Enjoy your Friday :)

It's Friday! // 05

Every Friday I'll be sharing a couple of links to stuff that I think is awesome, and that you might like!

Holy yum! I am obsessed with donuts. I think more because of how they look than how they taste (although they do taste mighty fine!) I'm planning on having a donut party at some stage. It's happening. Anyway, these are beautiful.

Have a guest room but not sure what to do with it? Here are 25 awesome ideas to make it something special. Your guests won't want to leave!

I found this talented man, David Downton, on Pinterest and am in awe. I LOVE this type of artwork. I might have to give it a go, now that I've started my Visual Diary project. What better reason to experiment!

I bought my first blush the other week. I'm nearly twenty three and I've only just gotten around to owning proper makeup. My face is normally make up free but I've decided it's time to learn a couple of tricks so I can glam up properly for a night out. I will probably be referring to this article to make sure I'm not making any make up mistakes haha!

This DIY is amazing. I seriously have to have. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to make something like this. However, if you feel like making it for me, go for it!

This song is so great and it makes me miss MJ so much. No matter what scandal surrounds his name, he will always be one of my favourite musicians. PLUS. There is Justin Timberlake, who always makes life a little better.

And of course, my video for the week. You've probably seen this video already but just in case, check out Sia performing live on Ellen. I love this song and that little dancer is amazing. Amazing!!

Well, I certainly need to work on more blog posts. It seems like all I do is post a couple of links every Friday. I have projects and ideas that I mean to share, but as the days are getting darker, I'm losing precious photo time. This weekend though, I'm going to dedicate some serious thought to the posts that have been on the back burner a bit so get ready!!
