IT'S FRIDAY // 17

Every Friday I'll be sharing a wee collection of links with you. From DIY to my favourite music tracks, there will be something for everyone.

THIS DIY
How sweet are these necklaces? They look pretty easy to make as well, and the colours are perfect for Spring and Summer - which is ideal for us New Zealanders!! I've got a wedding coming up so I give these a go. I'm not really a jewellery wearer but I might give in just this once.

THIS SMOOTHIE
My lovely friend Zeni from Make Like Zen is truly amazing in the kitchen (and everywhere else) and she's shared a delicious sounding green smoothie! I've tried before, but with kale, and it wasn't too kind of my digestive system but apparently spinach is the way to go so I'll be trying this one out.

THIS DUVET
Honestly, if there was a duvet cover that totally summed up your personality, this is mine. I LOVE it. So much. A beautiful friend of mine (yes you Jackie!) sent this to me the other day and I fell in love. It's perfect! I was going to buy it, but then I talked myself out of it. Hey! I know it's perfection but it's also $80 for just a duvet cover and I can't really justify it. If you haven't already had a browse the home ware section on Urban Outfitters, do it now. You won't regret it.

THIS PARTY
Sometimes it can be hard to think of birthday party themes for kids, especially if you don't want to go down the pirate/princess/farm route. This Moon and Stars Birthday Party is pretty darn cute though. I never would have thought of this, but it's such a neat idea! I love all the decorations they've used, and those cookies! Yuuuum.

THESE DATE IDEAS
Okay, this says it's for married couples, but it can totally be applied to any couple! These are all such great (and some super cheap) ideas for date nights. Sometimes I find it hard to think of original ways to spend time together (other than eating out, movies, bowling) so these are definitely a breath of fresh air. I think we might have to work our way through them all!

THIS SONG
Umm yes. This is another Sam Smith. Am I sorry? No way! Whenever I jump on my computer to do some design (or just spend hours on the internet ha!) I always go straight onto Spotify and click on Sam Smith's album. I'm yet to get sick of it, and it's always exactly what I want to listen to. Also, Rob and I bought tickets and we will be seeing him live in April! SO EXCITED. It's also going to be our first concert together, super cute!

THIS VIDEO
Of course it's Jimmy Fallon! Who else?! This time he's paired up with Will.I.Am (or Mir.I.Am) to make a hilarious video clip for Ew. Naturally they are dressed up as girls, and have the best "girly" voices ever. Go on. Have a laugh!

Yaaay for Friday! Except. It's not really a yay at all. At work we are always super busy over October and November, so I get to work all this weekend and the following weekend. Yeah, that's about 14 days of non stop work. Whoo! I won't complain though, extra money is always good in my books, especially with Christmas coming.

Have you guys got anything exciting planned?

  4. That duvet cover = awesome!! I can spend ages browsing Urban Outfitters. I love their rugs and they're so cheap too. But of course too big to ship to NZ. I wish someone here made cool rugs that were not too expensive! PS that smoothie looks yummy too!

    1. I know!! It's times like these that I wish I lived in America, purely because they just have so much more over there. And I'm with you on the rug thing, so hard to find cheap AND cool ones in NZ. And there's only so much you can DIY as well haha x
