Happy Father's Day.

Sunday was Fathers Day. Unfortunately I couldn't spend it with mine (as he is currently living in Australia) so I was with Robs family for the day.

Rob was trying to think of something to give to his Dad so I suggested doing a little print for him. Text over a picture, you know, just the usual. So here's what I came up with.

I'm really happy with it and I'm pretty sure Robs Dad was too.

Lovely drawings for a lovely lady.

Last week, I decided (with encouragement) to do a few little drawings for a lovely friend of mine. Tillie's birthday was in the weekend and so, I thought it would be a good chance to try out a little water colour. I did a series of four watercolour paintings/drawings and here is how they turned out. Cue artistic photography.

Each work (except for Tillie) was paired with a little statement.
"You're sweeter than a cupcake.. You're prettier than a flower.. And you're cuter than a button." Definitely all true statements!

Happy Birthday Tillie :) Kate x

Wall Hanging Duck Mobile

Yet ANOTHER baby shower! This time I made a wall hanging duck mobile.. All hand made! :) I really loved doing this one as well.. It's quite challenging trying to come up with new ideas (don't want to keep making the same mobiles over and over again.) but I think I'm getting there!

My First Year l Illustrated Frame

I'm really loving illustrating frames at the moment, and this was my first one ever! Definitely makes a great personalised gift... And it's great because they don't even have to use photos! I drew a little illustration for the inside but I hope they fill it with little baby photos!

Baby Mobile I

My first ever crafty project!! A little baby mobile for my boyfriend's sisters baby! I loved doing this. Was so much fun! And really tested my creative ability. I'm definitely thrilled with the way it's turned out!

A little handmade gift!

So, as I'm slowly turning my, once design blog into an EVERYTHING blog, I thought I'd combine my work that I've done on Mishkat.

Here is a little gifty for one of my closest friends, Kathryn. It was her 21st yesterday and unfortunately I couldn't make it (sick with an awful awful flu!). However, I did manage to make her something special!I t's an illustrated wooden frame with hand sewn character (dude with the moustache) and a few little snapshots of cute times I've shared with her!!
